MY FIRST YEAR IN MED SCHOOL

Being born in an Indian family was one of the reasons I decided to study medicine. See, every desi parent considers Medicine as a dream career for their children to pursue, so that one day they can proudly announce to the society that “My son/daughter is a doctor”. Jokes apart, I think I’m starting to have an interest in medicine now (after a year), well since I had no future plans set for myself, and I’m pretty sure there are a lot of people out there who don’t know what to pursue after finishing O-level and A-level education, or was it just me?!?! *thinking emoji* My experience with the first year of med school was exciting. I got to learn new stuffs, manage my time and finances, study by using electronic devices, cutting dead bodies and cadavers stuffs... I also faced a lot of challenges in the beginning, since this was the first time I officially stayed away from my family, unable to manage time – waking up at 7.50 am whilst having a lecture starting at 8.00 am, ...
